THE KFA PUBLIC EDUCATION COMMITTEE WILL BE HAVING A VERY SPECIAL MEETING AT THE KENTUCKY STATE FIRE SCHOOL FRIDAY JUNE 13TH AT 4:30PM. I PRAY THIS WILL NOT BE A HARDSHIP BUT I FIGURED MANY WOULD ALREADY BE IN LEXINGTON FOR STATE FIRE SCHOOL ANYWAY AND I HOPE IT WON’T BE TO MUCH OF AN INCONVENIENCE TO TRAVEL IN IF YOU AREN’T AT THE SCHOOL. THIS MEETING WILL BE AFTER OUR PUB ED CLASS AT STATE FIRE SCHOOL IN WHICH IS IN THE CONVENTION CENTER AND CLASSROOM AREA NEAR RUPP ARENA. WE WILL HAVE SIGNS POSTED AT THE REGISTRATION DESK AND THEY WILL KNOW WHERE THE MEETING WILL BE SO THEY CAN DIRECT YOU.

The Kentucky Association of Fire Chiefs is sponsoring a new course at the HOMELAND SECURITY CONFERENCE and 79th ANNUAL KENTUCKY STATE FIRE SCHOOL. This is Class # 505 “Fire Service Accreditation” presented by the Center for Public Safety Excellence. This two day class will be on Thursday and Friday.

The Legislative session has ended until the 14th and they will go back for 2 days. House Bill 600 is one of the bills they will be considering, this is our PENSION BILL. Over this coming week and up to the 14th we need ALL MEMBERS to call their REPRESENTATIVE and SENATOR ( 502-564-8100) and ask them to, VOTE FOR THE HOUSE VERSION OF HOUSE BILL 600 OR VOTE NO!!!! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT THE LEAGUE OF CITIES AND KACO WILL BE WORKIING AGAINST US. WE ALL MUST CALL TO PROTECT OUR PENSION.
